The difference between Pages and Posts in WordPress

If you’re new to WordPress the first thing that you need to learn is the difference between Pages and Posts.
Basically there are two types of content in WordPress:

Pages are static web pages that do not (or rarely) change over the life of the web site.
Examples of typical pages are usually Contact Us, About Us.

Posts are generally a piece of news, an article or an entry in a journal etc
